About Mrs. Bishop:<\/strong><\/p>

My name is Amy Bishop and I am blessed to be a School Counselor at Picolata Crossing! I have been a counselor here since the day our doors opened in 2017 and have loved seeing our school grow. Picolata Crossing Elementary School is filled with so many wonderful people from our parents, our students, our teachers, administration and other staff. Picolata is truly a gem and I am excited to be here again this school year!<\/p>

I am originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina and graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. I then received my Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. The 2026-2027 school year will be my 13th year as an elementary school counselor. What I love most about the elementary level is the genuine curiosity students have in their learning and the world around them, as well as the opportunity for early intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on a child.<\/p>

I have a passion for helping people and am excited to work with the students at Picolata Crossing. One of my favorite quotes that reminds me why I do what I do is the following: “I can’t promise to fix all your problems but I can promise you won’t have to face them all alone”. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ben, and our daughters, Allie and Maggie. When I have free time, I love to exercise, go to the beach, travel, shop and I love college football-Go Clemson Tigers!<\/p>

Hi, I\u2019m Carly Wicksell, and I am so excited to be joining the Picolata Crossing family as a Picolata Puma!<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

I am a proud Double Gator, earning my undergraduate degree in Education Sciences and my Master\u2019s degree in School Counseling from the University of Florida. I also hold an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, and I am passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

For the past three years, I have had the privilege of working as a school counselor in Alachua County, where I gained so many wonderful experiences and memories working with students and families. While I loved my time there, the beach was calling my name!\u00a0\u00a0I decided it was time to make the move closer to the coast, and I am so excited to call St. Augustine home and begin this next chapter at Picolata Crossing.<\/span><\/p>

This year, I will be serving our 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students, and I cannot wait to meet each and every one of our kiddos and help make this a wonderful school year!<\/span><\/p>

When I\u2019m not at school, you can usually find me shelling at the beach, trying a new coffee shop, or cheering on my favorite football teams!<\/span><\/p>
